So they lie fallen on their trellises, their wells neglected and their ruined palaces! 2641 22 46 أفلم يسيروا في الأرض فتكون لهم قلوب يعقلون بها أو آذان يسمعون بها فإنها لا تعمى الأبصار ولكن تعمى القلوب التي في الصدور Have they not travelled through the land so that they may have hearts by which they may exercise their reason, or ears by which they may hear? Indeed, it is not the eyes that turn blind, but it is the hearts in the breasts that turn blind! 2642 22 47 ويستعجلونك بالعذاب ولن يخلف الله وعده وإن يوما عند ربك كألف سنة مما تعدون They ask you to hasten the punishment, though Allah will never break His promise. Indeed a day with your Lord is like a thousand years by your reckoning. 2643 22 48 وكأين من قرية أمليت لها وهي ظالمة ثم أخذتها وإلي المصير To how many a town did I give respite while it was doing wrong! Then I seized it, and toward Me is the destination. 2644 22 49 قل يا أيها الناس إنما أنا لكم نذير مبين Say, ‘O mankind!
