| | | Our messengers came to Abraham with good news and greeted him with, "Peace." He too said, "Peace be on you," and hastened to bring a roasted calf. |

1543 | 11 | 70 | فلما رأى أيديهم لا تصل إليه نكرهم وأوجس منهم خيفة قالوا لا تخف إنا أرسلنا إلى قوم لوط |
| | | But when he saw that they made no move to eat, he found this strange and became afraid of them. They said, "Do not be afraid, for we have been sent to the people of Lot." |

| | | His wife, who was standing nearby, laughed when We gave her the good news of Isaac, and after Isaac, Jacob. |

1545 | 11 | 72 | قالت يا ويلتى أألد وأنا عجوز وهذا بعلي شيخا إن هذا لشيء عجيب |
| | | She said, "Alas! Shall I bear a child in this old age, while my husband here is also old? This is indeed a strange thing!" |

1546 | 11 | 73 | قالوا أتعجبين من أمر الله رحمت الله وبركاته عليكم أهل البيت إنه حميد مجيد |
| | | They said, "Are you astonished at God's command? May the mercy of God and His blessings be upon you, O people of this house. Surely, He is praiseworthy and glorious." |

1547 | 11 | 74 | فلما ذهب عن إبراهيم الروع وجاءته البشرى يجادلنا في قوم لوط |
| | | When the fear had left Abraham, and the glad tidings had been conveyed to him, he began to plead with Us for Lot's people, |

1548 | 11 | 75 | إن إبراهيم لحليم أواه منيب |
| | | for Abraham was forbearing, tender-hearted and oft-returning to God. |

1549 | 11 | 76 | يا إبراهيم أعرض عن هذا إنه قد جاء أمر ربك وإنهم آتيهم عذاب غير مردود |
| | | We said, "Abraham, cease your pleading: the command of your Lord has gone forth. There shall fall upon them a punishment which none can avert!" |
