Whoever among them follows you—I will fill up Hell with you all. 973 7 19 ويا آدم اسكن أنت وزوجك الجنة فكلا من حيث شئتما ولا تقربا هذه الشجرة فتكونا من الظالمين And you, Adam, inhabit the Garden, you and your wife, and eat whatever you wish; but do not approach this tree, lest you become sinners.” 974 7 20 فوسوس لهما الشيطان ليبدي لهما ما ووري عنهما من سوآتهما وقال ما نهاكما ربكما عن هذه الشجرة إلا أن تكونا ملكين أو تكونا من الخالدين But Satan whispered to them, to reveal to them their nakedness, which was invisible to them. He said, “Your Lord has only forbidden you this tree, lest you become angels, or become immortals.” 975 7 21 وقاسمهما إني لكما لمن الناصحين And he swore to them, “I am a sincere advisor to you.” 976 7 22 فدلاهما بغرور فلما ذاقا الشجرة بدت لهما سوآتهما وطفقا يخصفان عليهما من ورق الجنة وناداهما ربهما ألم أنهكما عن تلكما الشجرة وأقل لكما إن الشيطان لكما عدو مبين So he lured them with deceit. And when they tasted the tree, their nakedness became evident to them, and they began covering themselves with the leaves of the Garden. And their Lord called out to them, “Did I not forbid you from this tree, and say to you that Satan is a sworn enemy to you?” 977 7 23 قالا ربنا ظلمنا أنفسنا وإن لم تغفر لنا وترحمنا لنكونن من الخاسرين They said, “Our Lord, we have done wrong to ourselves. Unless You forgive us, and have mercy on us, we will be among the losers.” 978 7 24 قال اهبطوا بعضكم لبعض عدو ولكم في الأرض مستقر ومتاع إلى حين He said, “Fall, some of you enemies to one another. On earth you will have residence and livelihood for a while.” 979 7 25 قال فيها تحيون وفيها تموتون ومنها تخرجون He said, “In it you will live, and in it you will die, and from it you will be brought out.” 980 7 26 يا بني آدم قد أنزلنا عليكم لباسا يواري سوآتكم وريشا ولباس التقوى ذلك خير ذلك من آيات الله لعلهم يذكرون O children of Adam! We have provided you with clothing to cover your bodies, and for luxury. But the clothing of piety—that is best.
