I see that you and your people are in evident error.” 864 6 75 وكذلك نري إبراهيم ملكوت السماوات والأرض وليكون من الموقنين Thus We showed Abraham the empire of the heavens and the earth, that he might be one of those with certainty. 865 6 76 فلما جن عليه الليل رأى كوكبا قال هذا ربي فلما أفل قال لا أحب الآفلين When the night fell over him, he saw a planet. He said, “This is my lord.” But when it set, he said, “I do not love those that set.” 866 6 77 فلما رأى القمر بازغا قال هذا ربي فلما أفل قال لئن لم يهدني ربي لأكونن من القوم الضالين Then, when he saw the moon rising, he said, “This is my lord.” But when it set, he said, “If my Lord does not guide me, I will be one of the erring people.” 867 6 78 فلما رأى الشمس بازغة قال هذا ربي هذا أكبر فلما أفلت قال يا قوم إني بريء مما تشركون Then, when he saw the sun rising, he said, “This is my lord, this is bigger.” But when it set, he said, “O my people, I am innocent of your idolatry. 868 6 79 إني وجهت وجهي للذي فطر السماوات والأرض حنيفا وما أنا من المشركين I have directed my attention towards Him Who created the heavens and the earth—a monotheist—and I am not of the idolaters.” 869 6 80 وحاجه قومه قال أتحاجوني في الله وقد هدان ولا أخاف ما تشركون به إلا أن يشاء ربي شيئا وسع ربي كل شيء علما أفلا تتذكرون And his people argued with him. He said, “Do you argue with me about God, when He has guided me? I do not fear what you associate with Him, unless my Lord wills it. My Lord comprehends all things in knowledge. Will you not reconsider? 870 6 81 وكيف أخاف ما أشركتم ولا تخافون أنكم أشركتم بالله ما لم ينزل به عليكم سلطانا فأي الفريقين أحق بالأمن إن كنتم تعلمون And why should I fear those you associate with Him, and you do not fear associating others with God for which He sent down to you no authority?
