But their hearts were hardened, and Satan made things they were doing look attractive to them. 833 6 44 فلما نسوا ما ذكروا به فتحنا عليهم أبواب كل شيء حتى إذا فرحوا بما أوتوا أخذناهم بغتة فإذا هم مبلسون When they had become oblivious of what they were warned, We opened wide the gates of everything to them; yet as they rejoiced at what they were given, We caught them unawares, and they were filled with despair. 834 6 45 فقطع دابر القوم الذين ظلموا والحمد لله رب العالمين Thus were the wicked people rooted out of existence to the last. All praise be to God, the Lord of all the worlds. 835 6 46 قل أرأيتم إن أخذ الله سمعكم وأبصاركم وختم على قلوبكم من إله غير الله يأتيكم به انظر كيف نصرف الآيات ثم هم يصدفون Say: "Imagine if God takes away your hearing and sight, and sets a seal on your hearts, what deity other than God will restore them to you?" See how We inflect Our signs: Even then they turn aside. 836 6 47 قل أرأيتكم إن أتاكم عذاب الله بغتة أو جهرة هل يهلك إلا القوم الظالمون Say: "Imagine if the punishment of God were to come unawares, or openly, who will perish but the evil-doers?" 837 6 48 وما نرسل المرسلين إلا مبشرين ومنذرين فمن آمن وأصلح فلا خوف عليهم ولا هم يحزنون We do not send apostles but to give good tidings and to warn. Then those who believe or reform will have neither fear nor regret. 838 6 49 والذين كذبوا بآياتنا يمسهم العذاب بما كانوا يفسقون But those who deny Our messages will be seized by nemesis for being disobedient. 839 6 50 قل لا أقول لكم عندي خزائن الله ولا أعلم الغيب ولا أقول لكم إني ملك إن أتبع إلا ما يوحى إلي قل هل يستوي الأعمى والبصير أفلا تتفكرون Tell them: "I do not say that I possess the treasures of God, or have knowledge of the Unknown, or that I am an angel. I only follow what is sent down to me." And say: "How can a blind man and a man who can see, be alike?
