And when they stand for prayer, they stand lazily, showing off in front of people, and remembering God only a little. 636 4 143 مذبذبين بين ذلك لا إلى هؤلاء ولا إلى هؤلاء ومن يضلل الله فلن تجد له سبيلا Wavering in between, neither with these, nor with those. Whomever God sends astray, you will never find for him a way. 637 4 144 يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تتخذوا الكافرين أولياء من دون المؤمنين أتريدون أن تجعلوا لله عليكم سلطانا مبينا O you who believe! Do not befriend disbelievers rather than believers. Do you want to give God a clear case against you? 638 4 145 إن المنافقين في الدرك الأسفل من النار ولن تجد لهم نصيرا The hypocrites will be in the lowest level of the Fire, and you will find no helper for them. 639 4 146 إلا الذين تابوا وأصلحوا واعتصموا بالله وأخلصوا دينهم لله فأولئك مع المؤمنين وسوف يؤت الله المؤمنين أجرا عظيما Except those who repent, and reform, and hold fast to God, and dedicate their religion to God alone. These are with the believers; and God will give the believers a great reward. 640 4 147 ما يفعل الله بعذابكم إن شكرتم وآمنتم وكان الله شاكرا عليما What would God accomplish by your punishment, if you have given thanks, and have believed? God is Appreciative and Cognizant. 641 4 148 لا يحب الله الجهر بالسوء من القول إلا من ظلم وكان الله سميعا عليما God does not like the public uttering of bad language, unless someone was wronged.
