| | | Lo! the guilty used to laugh at those who believed, |

| | | And wink one to another when they passed them; |

| 5879 | 83 | 31 | وإذا انقلبوا إلى أهلهم انقلبوا فكهين |
| | | And when they returned to their own folk, they returned jesting; |

| 5880 | 83 | 32 | وإذا رأوهم قالوا إن هؤلاء لضالون |
| | | And when they saw them they said: Lo! these have gone astray. |
|
| 5881 | 83 | 33 | وما أرسلوا عليهم حافظين |
| | | Yet they were not sent as guardians over them. |
