And he who ascribes compeers to God is guilty of the gravest sin. 542 4 49 ألم تر إلى الذين يزكون أنفسهم بل الله يزكي من يشاء ولا يظلمون فتيلا Have you not seen the people who call themselves pure? Yet God purifies whom He pleases, and none shall be wronged even the breadth of a thread. 543 4 50 انظر كيف يفترون على الله الكذب وكفى به إثما مبينا See how they fabricate lies about God, which is a clear sin. 544 4 51 ألم تر إلى الذين أوتوا نصيبا من الكتاب يؤمنون بالجبت والطاغوت ويقولون للذين كفروا هؤلاء أهدى من الذين آمنوا سبيلا Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Book, who believe in false deities and evil powers, and say of unbelievers: "These are better guided than those who believe." 545 4 52 أولئك الذين لعنهم الله ومن يلعن الله فلن تجد له نصيرا They are the ones who were cursed by God; and those who are cursed by God will have none to protect them. 546 4 53 أم لهم نصيب من الملك فإذا لا يؤتون الناس نقيرا Have they a share in the kingdom? (If they had,) they would never have given an iota to the people. 547 4 54 أم يحسدون الناس على ما آتاهم الله من فضله فقد آتينا آل إبراهيم الكتاب والحكمة وآتيناهم ملكا عظيما Are they so envious of others for what God has given them of His bounty?
