| | | O you who have faith! If you help Allah, He will help you and make your feet steady. |

| 4553 | 47 | 8 | والذين كفروا فتعسا لهم وأضل أعمالهم |
| | | As for the faithless, their lot will be to fall [into ruin], and He will render their works fruitless. |

| 4554 | 47 | 9 | ذلك بأنهم كرهوا ما أنزل الله فأحبط أعمالهم |
| | | That is because they loathed what Allah has sent down, so He made their works fail. |
|
| 4555 | 47 | 10 | أفلم يسيروا في الأرض فينظروا كيف كان عاقبة الذين من قبلهم دمر الله عليهم وللكافرين أمثالها |
| | | Have they not travelled through the land so that they may observe how was the fate of those who were before them? Allah destroyed them, and a similar [fate] awaits these faithless. |

| 4556 | 47 | 11 | ذلك بأن الله مولى الذين آمنوا وأن الكافرين لا مولى لهم |
| | | That is because Allah is the protector of the faithful, and because the faithless have no protector. |

| 4557 | 47 | 12 | إن الله يدخل الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات جنات تجري من تحتها الأنهار والذين كفروا يتمتعون ويأكلون كما تأكل الأنعام والنار مثوى لهم |
| | | Indeed Allah will admit those who have faith and do righteous deeds into gardens with streams running in them. As for the faithless, they enjoy and eat like the cattle do, and the Fire will be their [final] abode. |

| 4558 | 47 | 13 | وكأين من قرية هي أشد قوة من قريتك التي أخرجتك أهلكناهم فلا ناصر لهم |
| | | How many a town We have destroyed which was more powerful than your town which expelled you, and they had no helper. |

| 4559 | 47 | 14 | أفمن كان على بينة من ربه كمن زين له سوء عمله واتبعوا أهواءهم |
| | | Is he who stands on a manifest proof from his Lord like those to whom the evil of their conduct is made to seem decorous and who follow their desires? |

| 4560 | 47 | 15 | مثل الجنة التي وعد المتقون فيها أنهار من ماء غير آسن وأنهار من لبن لم يتغير طعمه وأنهار من خمر لذة للشاربين وأنهار من عسل مصفى ولهم فيها من كل الثمرات ومغفرة من ربهم كمن هو خالد في النار وسقوا ماء حميما فقطع أمعاءهم |
| | | A description of the paradise promised to the Godwary: therein are streams of unstaling water and streams of milk unchanging in flavour, and streams of wine delicious to the drinkers, and streams of purified honey; there will be every kind of fruit in it for them, and forgiveness from their Lord. [Are such ones] like those who abide in the Fire and are given to drink boiling water which cuts up their bowels? |

| 4561 | 47 | 16 | ومنهم من يستمع إليك حتى إذا خرجوا من عندك قالوا للذين أوتوا العلم ماذا قال آنفا أولئك الذين طبع الله على قلوبهم واتبعوا أهواءهم |
| | | There are some among them who prick up their ears at you. But when they go out from your presence, they say to those who have been given knowledge, ‘What did he say just now?’ They are the ones on whose hearts Allah has set a seal, and they follow their own desires. |
