| | | and in the alternation of the night and day, in the provision Allah sends down from heaven with which the earth is revived after its death, and in the changing about of the winds, there are signs for people who understand. |

| | | Such are the verses of Allah. We recite them to you in truth. So in what speech, after Allah and His signs, will they believe? |

| 4480 | 45 | 7 | ويل لكل أفاك أثيم |
| | | Woe to all the guilty impostors! |
|
| 4481 | 45 | 8 | يسمع آيات الله تتلى عليه ثم يصر مستكبرا كأن لم يسمعها فبشره بعذاب أليم |
| | | He hears the verses of Allah recited to him and then, as though he never heard them, persists in insolence. Give to him the glad tidings of a painful punishment. |

| 4482 | 45 | 9 | وإذا علم من آياتنا شيئا اتخذها هزوا أولئك لهم عذاب مهين |
| | | As for he who knows something of Our verses and then mocks them for those there is a humiliating punishment. |

| 4483 | 45 | 10 | من ورائهم جهنم ولا يغني عنهم ما كسبوا شيئا ولا ما اتخذوا من دون الله أولياء ولهم عذاب عظيم |
| | | Gehenna (Hell) is behind them, all that they have earned shall not help them at all, nor shall those they took as guardians, other than Allah. For them there is a mighty punishment. |
