Some among you wanted the world, and some among you wanted the Everlasting Life. Then He made you turn away from them in order to test you. He has knowledge of what you do. 450 3 157 ولئن قتلتم في سبيل الله أو متم لمغفرة من الله ورحمة خير مما يجمعون If you should be killed in the way of Allah or die, the Forgiveness and Mercy from Allah would surely be better than all you amass. 451 3 158 ولئن متم أو قتلتم لإلى الله تحشرون And if you die or are killed, before Allah you shall all be gathered. 452 3 159 فبما رحمة من الله لنت لهم ولو كنت فظا غليظ القلب لانفضوا من حولك فاعف عنهم واستغفر لهم وشاورهم في الأمر فإذا عزمت فتوكل على الله إن الله يحب المتوكلين It was by that Mercy of Allah that you (Prophet Muhammad) dealt so leniently with them.
