| | | Say, "We believe in God and in what has been sent down to us and to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes. We believe in what has been given to Moses, Jesus and the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them. It is to Him that we have surrendered ourselves." |

| | | If anyone seeks a religion other than Islam [submission to God], it will not be accepted from him; he will be among the losers in the Hereafter. |

| | | How would God bestow His guidance upon people who have opted for unbelief after having embraced the faith and having borne witness that this Messenger is true and [after] all evidence of the truth has come to them? For, God does not guide such wrongdoers: |

| 380 | 3 | 87 | أولئك جزاؤهم أن عليهم لعنة الله والملائكة والناس أجمعين |
| | | such people will be rewarded with rejection by God, by the angels, by all mankind. |

| 381 | 3 | 88 | خالدين فيها لا يخفف عنهم العذاب ولا هم ينظرون |
| | | In this state they shall abide forever; their punishment shall not be lightened nor shall they be granted respite. |

| 382 | 3 | 89 | إلا الذين تابوا من بعد ذلك وأصلحوا فإن الله غفور رحيم |
| | | Except for those who afterwards repent and reform. God is forgiving and merciful; |

| 383 | 3 | 90 | إن الذين كفروا بعد إيمانهم ثم ازدادوا كفرا لن تقبل توبتهم وأولئك هم الضالون |
| | | but as for those who are bent on denying the truth after accepting the true faith and grow in their refusal to acknowledge the truth, their repentance will not be accepted. They are the ones who have gone far astray. |

| 384 | 3 | 91 | إن الذين كفروا وماتوا وهم كفار فلن يقبل من أحدهم ملء الأرض ذهبا ولو افتدى به أولئك لهم عذاب أليم وما لهم من ناصرين |
| | | Those who reject faith and die in the state of rejection will not be saved, even if they offer as ransom enough gold to fill the entire earth. Painful punishment is in store for them and they will have no supporters. |
