| | | And he would not command you to take the angels and the prophets for lords. Would he call you to unfaith after you have submitted [to Allah]? |

| | | When Allah took a compact concerning the prophets, [He said,] ‘Inasmuch as I have given you [the knowledge] of the Book and wisdom, should an apostle come to you thereafter confirming what is with you, you shall believe in him and help him.’ He said, ‘Do you pledge and accept My covenant on this condition?’ They said, ‘We pledge.’ He said, ‘Then be witnesses, and I, too, am among the witnesses along with you.’ |

| | | Then whoever turns away after that—it is they who are the transgressors. |

| 376 | 3 | 83 | أفغير دين الله يبغون وله أسلم من في السماوات والأرض طوعا وكرها وإليه يرجعون |
| | | Do they seek a religion other than that of Allah, while to Him submits whoever there is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and to Him they will be brought back? |

| | | Say, ‘We have faith in Allah and in what has been sent down to us, and what was sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, and that which Moses, Jesus and the prophets were given by their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him do we submit.’ |

| | | Should anyone follow a religion other than Islam, it shall never be accepted from him, and he will be among the losers in the Hereafter. |

| 379 | 3 | 86 | كيف يهدي الله قوما كفروا بعد إيمانهم وشهدوا أن الرسول حق وجاءهم البينات والله لا يهدي القوم الظالمين |
| | | How shall Allah guide a people who have disbelieved after their faith and [after] bearing witness that the Apostle is true, and [after] manifest proofs had come to them? Allah does not guide the wrongdoing lot. |

| | | Their requital is that there shall be upon them the curse of Allah, the angels, and all mankind. |
