Indeed He is all-hearing and nearmost.’ 3657 34 51 ولو ترى إذ فزعوا فلا فوت وأخذوا من مكان قريب Were you to see them when they will be stricken with terror, without any escape, and are seized from a close quarter. 3658 34 52 وقالوا آمنا به وأنى لهم التناوش من مكان بعيد They will say, ‘We believe in it [now]!’ But how can they attain it from a far-off place, 3659 34 53 وقد كفروا به من قبل ويقذفون بالغيب من مكان بعيد when they denied it in the past—shooting at something invisible from a far-off place— 3660 34 54 وحيل بينهم وبين ما يشتهون كما فعل بأشياعهم من قبل إنهم كانوا في شك مريب and a barrier is set between them and what they desire, as was done aforetime with their likes, who had remained in grave doubt? 3661 35 1 بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم الحمد لله فاطر السماوات والأرض جاعل الملائكة رسلا أولي أجنحة مثنى وثلاث ورباع يزيد في الخلق ما يشاء إن الله على كل شيء قدير All praise belongs to Allah, originator of the heavens and the earth, maker of the angels [His] messengers, possessing wings, two, three or four [of them]. He adds to the creation whatever He wishes. Indeed Allah has power over all things. 3662 35 2 ما يفتح الله للناس من رحمة فلا ممسك لها وما يمسك فلا مرسل له من بعده وهو العزيز الحكيم Whatever mercy Allah unfolds for the people, no one can withhold it; and whatever He withholds no one can release it except Him, and He is the All-mighty, the All-wise. 3663 35 3 يا أيها الناس اذكروا نعمت الله عليكم هل من خالق غير الله يرزقكم من السماء والأرض لا إله إلا هو فأنى تؤفكون O mankind! Remember Allah’s blessing upon you! Is there any creator other than Allah who provides for you from the sky and the earth? There is no god except Him. So where do you stray? 3664 35 4 وإن يكذبوك فقد كذبت رسل من قبلك وإلى الله ترجع الأمور If they impugn you, certainly [other] apostles were impugned before you, and all matters are returned to Allah. 3665 35 5 يا أيها الناس إن وعد الله حق فلا تغرنكم الحياة الدنيا ولا يغرنكم بالله الغرور O mankind! Allah’s promise is indeed true.
