Indeed He is all-hearing and nearmost.’ 3657 34 51 ولو ترى إذ فزعوا فلا فوت وأخذوا من مكان قريب Were you to see them when they will be stricken with terror, without any escape, and are seized from a close quarter. 3658 34 52 وقالوا آمنا به وأنى لهم التناوش من مكان بعيد They will say, ‘We believe in it [now]!’ But how can they attain it from a far-off place, 3659 34 53 وقد كفروا به من قبل ويقذفون بالغيب من مكان بعيد when they denied it in the past—shooting at something invisible from a far-off place— 3660 34 54 وحيل بينهم وبين ما يشتهون كما فعل بأشياعهم من قبل إنهم كانوا في شك مريب and a barrier is set between them and what they desire, as was done aforetime with their likes, who had remained in grave doubt? 3661 35 1 بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم الحمد لله فاطر السماوات والأرض جاعل الملائكة رسلا أولي أجنحة مثنى وثلاث ورباع يزيد في الخلق ما يشاء إن الله على كل شيء قدير All praise belongs to Allah, originator of the heavens and the earth, maker of the angels [His] messengers, possessing wings, two, three or four [of them].
