You are our protector, not them. Indeed no! They worshipped the jinn; it was in them that most of them believed." 3648 34 42 فاليوم لا يملك بعضكم لبعض نفعا ولا ضرا ونقول للذين ظلموا ذوقوا عذاب النار التي كنتم بها تكذبون Today you possess no power to benefit or harm one another. We shall say to the wrongdoers, "Suffer the punishment of the Fire that you persistently denied." 3649 34 43 وإذا تتلى عليهم آياتنا بينات قالوا ما هذا إلا رجل يريد أن يصدكم عما كان يعبد آباؤكم وقالوا ما هذا إلا إفك مفترى وقال الذين كفروا للحق لما جاءهم إن هذا إلا سحر مبين Whenever Our messages are conveyed to them in all their clarity, they say, "This [Muhammad] is nothing but a man who wants to turn you away from what your forefathers worshipped." And they say, "This [Quran] is nothing but an invented falsehood." And they who are bent on denying the truth speak thus of the truth when it comes to them, "This is clearly nothing but plain sorcery!" 3650 34 44 وما آتيناهم من كتب يدرسونها وما أرسلنا إليهم قبلك من نذير We had not given them books to study, nor have We sent them a warner before you. 3651 34 45 وكذب الذين من قبلهم وما بلغوا معشار ما آتيناهم فكذبوا رسلي فكيف كان نكير Their predecessors also rejected the truth. These have not attained to one tenth of the power that We had bestowed upon the earlier people. But they rejected My messengers. Then how terrible, was My chastisement! 3652 34 46 قل إنما أعظكم بواحدة أن تقوموا لله مثنى وفرادى ثم تتفكروا ما بصاحبكم من جنة إن هو إلا نذير لكم بين يدي عذاب شديد Say to them, "I exhort you to do one thing: and that is to stand up before God in pairs, or singly, and then reflect. You will thus realize that your companion is not afflicted with madness. He is only a warner, warning you of an impending severe chastisement." 3653 34 47 قل ما سألتكم من أجر فهو لكم إن أجري إلا على الله وهو على كل شيء شهيد Say, "If I have asked you for any recompense, you can keep it. It is God alone who will reward me: He is the witness of all things." 3654 34 48 قل إن ربي يقذف بالحق علام الغيوب Say to them, "My Lord hurls forth the Truth [at falsehood] and He is the knower of hidden things." 3655 34 49 قل جاء الحق وما يبدئ الباطل وما يعيد Say to them, "The Truth has come and will endure.
