| | | Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: "We believe," and will not be tested. |

| 3343 | 29 | 3 | ولقد فتنا الذين من قبلهم فليعلمن الله الذين صدقوا وليعلمن الكاذبين |
| | | And We indeed tested those who were before them so that Allah will indeed know those who are true, and He will know those who are liars. |

| 3344 | 29 | 4 | أم حسب الذين يعملون السيئات أن يسبقونا ساء ما يحكمون |
| | | Or think those who do evil deeds that they can outstrip Us Evil is that which they judge! |

| 3345 | 29 | 5 | من كان يرجو لقاء الله فإن أجل الله لآت وهو السميع العليم |
| | | Whoever hopes in meeting with Allah, then Allah's term is surely coming, and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. |

| 3346 | 29 | 6 | ومن جاهد فإنما يجاهد لنفسه إن الله لغني عن العالمين |
| | | And whosoever strives, he strives only for himself. Verily, Allah stands not in need of any of the creatures. |

| 3347 | 29 | 7 | والذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات لنكفرن عنهم سيئاتهم ولنجزينهم أحسن الذي كانوا يعملون |
| | | Those who believe, and do righteous good deeds, surely, We shall expiate from them their evil deeds and We shall indeed reward them according to the best of that which they used to do. |

| 3348 | 29 | 8 | ووصينا الإنسان بوالديه حسنا وإن جاهداك لتشرك بي ما ليس لك به علم فلا تطعهما إلي مرجعكم فأنبئكم بما كنتم تعملون |
| | | And We have enjoined on man to be dutiful to his parents; but if they strive to make you associate with Me, which you have no knowledge of, then obey them not. Unto Me is your return and I shall tell you what you used to do. |

| 3349 | 29 | 9 | والذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات لندخلنهم في الصالحين |
| | | And for those who believe and do righteous deeds, surely, We shall admit them among the righteous. |

| 3350 | 29 | 10 | ومن الناس من يقول آمنا بالله فإذا أوذي في الله جعل فتنة الناس كعذاب الله ولئن جاء نصر من ربك ليقولن إنا كنا معكم أوليس الله بأعلم بما في صدور العالمين |
| | | Of mankind are some who say: "We believe in Allah." But if they are made to suffer for Allah, they consider the trial of mankind as Allah's punishment; and if victory comes from your Lord, they will say: "Verily, we were with you." Is not Allah Best Aware of what is in the breasts of the creatures |
