| | | And invoke thou not any other god along with Allah. There is no god but he. Everything is perishable save His countenance His is the judgment, and unto Him ye shall be returned. |

| 3342 | 29 | 2 | أحسب الناس أن يتركوا أن يقولوا آمنا وهم لا يفتنون |
| | | Bethink men that they shall be left alone because they say: we believe; and that they shall not be tempted? |

| 3343 | 29 | 3 | ولقد فتنا الذين من قبلهم فليعلمن الله الذين صدقوا وليعلمن الكاذبين |
| | | And assuredly We have tempted those who were before them. So Allah will surely know those who are true and He will surely know the liars. |

| | | Or bethink those who work ill deeds that they shall outstrip Us? lll do they judge! |

| | | Whosoever hopeth for the meeting with Allah, then Allah's term is surely coming, and He is the Hearer, the Knower. |

| 3346 | 29 | 6 | ومن جاهد فإنما يجاهد لنفسه إن الله لغني عن العالمين |
| | | And whosoever strive, striveth only for himself: verily Allah is Independent of the worlds. |

| 3347 | 29 | 7 | والذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات لنكفرن عنهم سيئاتهم ولنجزينهم أحسن الذي كانوا يعملون |
| | | And whosoever believe and work righteous works, We shall purge away from them their ill-deeds and shall recompense them the best of that which they have been working. |

| 3348 | 29 | 8 | ووصينا الإنسان بوالديه حسنا وإن جاهداك لتشرك بي ما ليس لك به علم فلا تطعهما إلي مرجعكم فأنبئكم بما كنتم تعملون |
| | | And We have enjoined on man kindness unto parents. But if the twain strive to make thee associate with Me that of which thou hast no knowledge, obey them not. Unto Me is your return, and I shall declare unto you that which ye have been working. |
