They have strayed and cannot find a way. 2078 17 49 وقالوا أإذا كنا عظاما ورفاتا أإنا لمبعوثون خلقا جديدا And they say: when we shall have become bones and fragments, shall we in sooth be raised as a new creation? 2079 17 50 قل كونوا حجارة أو حديدا Say thou: become ye stones or iron. 2080 17 51 أو خلقا مما يكبر في صدوركم فسيقولون من يعيدنا قل الذي فطركم أول مرة فسينغضون إليك رءوسهم ويقولون متى هو قل عسى أن يكون قريبا Or anything created of the things more remote in your breasts. Then they will say: who will restore us! Say thou: He who created you the first time. Then they will wag their heads at thee and say; when will it be! Say thou: belike it is nigh- 2081 17 52 يوم يدعوكم فتستجيبون بحمده وتظنون إن لبثتم إلا قليلا The Day whereon He will call you, and ye will answerl with His praise, and ye will imagine that ye had tarried but little. 2082 17 53 وقل لعبادي يقولوا التي هي أحسن إن الشيطان ينزغ بينهم إن الشيطان كان للإنسان عدوا مبينا Say thou unto My bondmen that they should say that which is best, Verily the Satan would stir up strife between them; verily the Satan is unto men ever an enemy manifest. 2083 17 54 ربكم أعلم بكم إن يشأ يرحمكم أو إن يشأ يعذبكم وما أرسلناك عليهم وكيلا Your Lord is the Best Knower of you; if He willeth He will have mercy upon you, or if He willeth He will torment you.
