So do you not ponder? 1498 11 25 ولقد أرسلنا نوحا إلى قومه إني لكم نذير مبين And indeed We sent Nooh to his people that, “Indeed I am for you a clear Herald of Warning.” 1499 11 26 أن لا تعبدوا إلا الله إني أخاف عليكم عذاب يوم أليم “That you must worship none except Allah; indeed I fear the punishment of the calamitous day upon you.” 1500 11 27 فقال الملأ الذين كفروا من قومه ما نراك إلا بشرا مثلنا وما نراك اتبعك إلا الذين هم أراذلنا بادي الرأي وما نرى لكم علينا من فضل بل نظنكم كاذبين The chiefs of his people, who were disbelievers, said, “We see that you are just a mortal like us, and we do not see anyone following you except the most lowly among us, without insight; and we do not find any merit in you above us – in fact, we consider you liars.” 1501 11 28 قال يا قوم أرأيتم إن كنت على بينة من ربي وآتاني رحمة من عنده فعميت عليكم أنلزمكموها وأنتم لها كارهون He said, “O my people! What is your opinion – if I am on a clear proof from my Lord and He has bestowed mercy upon me from Him, so you remained blind towards it; shall we force it upon you although you dislike it?” 1502 11 29 ويا قوم لا أسألكم عليه مالا إن أجري إلا على الله وما أنا بطارد الذين آمنوا إنهم ملاقو ربهم ولكني أراكم قوما تجهلون “And O my people! I do not ask any wealth from you for it; my reward is only upon Allah, and I am not going to repel the Muslims; indeed they will meet their Lord, but I find you people completely ignorant.” 1503 11 30 ويا قوم من ينصرني من الله إن طردتهم أفلا تذكرون “And O my people! Who would rescue me from Allah if I repel them?
