It confirms what was before it; a distinguishing Book, in which there is no doubt, from the Lord of all the worlds. 1402 10 38 أم يقولون افتراه قل فأتوا بسورة مثله وادعوا من استطعتم من دون الله إن كنتم صادقين Do they say: 'He has forged it'. Say: 'Compose one chapter like it, and call upon whom you will, other than Allah (to help you), if what you say is true' 1403 10 39 بل كذبوا بما لم يحيطوا بعلمه ولما يأتهم تأويله كذلك كذب الذين من قبلهم فانظر كيف كان عاقبة الظالمين They have belied that which they did not understand of its knowledge, nor has its interpretation reached them. Those who were before also belied. But see how was the end of the harmdoers. 1404 10 40 ومنهم من يؤمن به ومنهم من لا يؤمن به وربك أعلم بالمفسدين Some believe in it, while others do not believe it. Your Lord knows well the corrupters. 1405 10 41 وإن كذبوك فقل لي عملي ولكم عملكم أنتم بريئون مما أعمل وأنا بريء مما تعملون If they belie you, say: 'I have my work, you have your work. You are quit of what I do, and I am quit of what you do' 1406 10 42 ومنهم من يستمعون إليك أفأنت تسمع الصم ولو كانوا لا يعقلون Some of them listen to you. But can you make the deaf hear you, even though they cannot understand? 1407 10 43 ومنهم من ينظر إليك أفأنت تهدي العمي ولو كانوا لا يبصرون Some of them look to you.
